Sporano Yvonne Pretnik started her musical education with piano lessons at the age of 7. Later on at the age of 14 she began classical singing training with Anja Paulus. She studied opera singing and pedagogics of singing at the University of Music, Theatre and Media in Hannover, under the tuition of Prof. Gudrun Pelker.
In addition of being interested into music theater, she is interested in solo and concert singing. She complemented her studies within the song class of Justus Zeyen. Currently Yvonne has a vocal collaboration with vocal coach and director Axel Heil.

During her studies she gained experience in some children’s opera productions, ia. at the Opernloft Hamburg and the Osnabrück Theatre (season 2011/12, Alcina for all from 8, role of Oberta). In season 2012/13 Yvonne was heard at the Osnabrück Theatre in a scenic version of the oratorio “The Lost of the Danes rescued Daniel” by Telemann, as well as in the university production of HMTM Hannover as Mme Fiorentino in Kurt Weill’s “Street Scene”.
In 2014, Yvonne made her debut at the City Theatre Hildesheim as Queen of the Night. In season 2014/15 she also took over the role of Sidi in Friedrich Kuhlau’s opera “Lulu, or the Magic Flute” in a concert version. In the spring of 2015 Yvonne was heard at the Opéra de Dijon as a bob in Viktor Ullmann’s “The Emperor of Atlantis”. In the season 17/18 she was engaged at the theatre court for “Das Traumspiel” by A. Reimann and as a Morgana in Handel’s “Alcina”. In the season 18/19 she is playing the roles of the Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute, as well as the Sandman and Taumann in “Hänsel und Gretel” at the Free State Theatre of Bavaria. She will also be performing in a scenic version of Bach’s Kaffeekantate with the orchestra concierto munchen and as Bastienne in Mozart’s Bastien und Bastienne. In the season 19/20 she returns to the Theater Hof as a member of the ensemble.
Yvonne Prentki is a winner of the competition Jugend Musiziert where she has won the 2nd prize in the category of master students. Further more she has won two special prizes at the international Giulio Perotti Competition in Ueckermünde in 2013.
In 2014 she was a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner Verband Hannover.
