ABOUT YVONNE

Soprano Yvonne Prentki began her musical education with piano lessons at the age of seven, later studying voice with Anja Paulus. She studied voice and vocal pedagogy at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover under the of Prof. Gudrun Pelker.  She has taken part in masterclasses given by Christa Ludwig, Jagna Sokorska­-Kwika, Krisztina Laki, Peter Berne, Roman Trekel, Roberto Accurso, Ricardo Estrada and Helmut Deutsch.
While still studying, Ms Prentki was cast in various children’s opera productions at the Opernloft Hamburg and at Osnabrück Theatre including the role of Oberto ALCINA. She was later cast in Theater Osnabruck’s production of Telemann’s DER AUS DER LÖWENGRUBE ERETTETE DANIEL, and in a student production of STREET SCENE as Mme Fiorentino at the Hochschule für Musik Theater und Medien Hannover.
Further engagements include Bubikopf DER KAISER VON ATLANTIS at Opéra de Dijon, the Königin der Nacht DIE ZAUBERFLOETE and Sidi in a concert production of Friedrich Kuhlau’s opera LULU, OR THE MAGIC FLUTE at the Theater Hildesheim, the Sandman HANSEL UND GRETEL and the Königin der Nacht DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE at the Freies Landestheater Bayern, Bach’s KAFFEEKANTATE and Bastienne BASTIEN UND BASTIENNE with the Kammerorchester Concierto München and and the roles of Sängerin/ Sie/ Edith in Reimann’s EIN TRAUMSPIEL, Morgana ALCINA, Mable Gibson DIE ZIRKUSPRINZESSIN, Amor in Gluck’s ORPHEUS UND EURYDIKE, Pepi Pleininger WIENER BLUT, Fräulein Bürstner/Leni DER PROZESS by Philip Glass, Antonia THE MAN FROM LA MANCHA and Elettra in Mozart’s IDOMENEO at Theater Hof where she has been a member of the ensemble since the 2019/20 season.
Yvonne Prentki won a prize at the Jugend Musiziert competition and has also received second prize and two special prizes at the international Giulio Perotti Competition.  In 2014 she received a scholarship from the Richard-Wagner Verband Hannover.
